We’re looking for two new trustees to join Stagetext’s board and help us shape the future of our Charity as we navigate the new arts landscape.
The performing arts are currently grappling with profound changes, and the challenges we are facing will have long term consequences for audiences and venues. We want to make sure that we are best placed to deliver our work to support the sector in this changing cultural landscape, and we need the right trustees to help us lead the way.
We are committed to being a d/Deaf led organisation, and this is reflected in our Board. At the same time, we are actively looking to broaden our Board’s profile. We are keen to hear from people from culturally diverse backgrounds, those who have been traditionally underrepresented in governance, from d/Deaf and disabled people, those with lived experience of deafness, and above all, curious people who connect strongly with our values and mission.
At this time, we are particularly interested to hear from you if you have skills and experience in HR, fundraising, research, advocacy, and if you’re a theatre practitioner.
You don’t need to have previous board experience (although if you do, that would be great too), and we’ll work with you to become an effective member of the team that provides overall strategy and direction to the company, and works closely with our Chief Executive Officer, Melanie Sharpe.
