We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded funding by The National Lottery for a project to help develop the way we work with our volunteers, ambassadors, and our user panel.
The funding will help to support our Ambassadors programme, where we work with volunteers of a range of ages, types of hearing loss and cultural interests to speak about and champion Stagetext at various events.
Melanie Sharpe, Stagetext CEO, said: “It’s fantastic to have the importance of our work recognised by The National Lottery, and it’s with their help that we’re going to able to reach more audiences and spread the word of Stagetext more widely.”
Stagetext currently enable over 200 organisations to provide more than 600 events per year reaching over 25,000 people – but there are still hundreds of thousands who remain untouched by our work.
Our Ambassadors programme helps grow the amount of people who know about us, create a deeper connection between us and the people we work with, and nurture a sense of community among our users.
If you are interested in finding out more about volunteering with Stagetext, joining our user panel, or about training to be an ambassador for Captioning Awareness Week this November please contact Alic Joy by emailing [email protected].
