Putting access and inclusion at the heart of our work
Lived Fiction is a groundbreaking production in which access for Deaf, Disabled and neurodivergent audiences has been intricately intertwined throughout.
The intention behind our creative access is to signify the next stage of evolution for Stopgap: We have been the exemplar of diversity and inclusion on stage for two decades, but a global leader of inclusive dance has to now do more than showcasing Disabled talent. It is time for us to step up and make dance accessible to a wider range of audiences. We want the performers and the audience to gain a shared-experience of an inclusive world and revel in the joy of diverse people cohabiting the theatre space.
